Fortnightly Update (23/09/2021) – Ray White Cairns Beaches

By Ben - MahiWeb

Welcome to this fortnight’s edition of our Newsletter.

It has been an eventful fortnight of celebrations and supporting local community events for Ray White Cairns Beaches and Ray White Smithfield. It was excellent to see so many members of our community come together last Friday evening to celebrate the inaugural Festival of the Beaches event held at Coastwatcher Park, Trinity Beach. Our combined Ray White offices were proud to be major sponsors of the local event, and alongside the Lions Club of the Marlin Coast, fellow sponsors, and event organisers, the evening was a resounding success.

Further, throughout the week Co-Principal of Ray White Smithfield, Joseph Indorato and I made the special trip to Brisbane last Thursday to celebrate and support our Land Sales Specialist, Jackson James at the 2021 Ray White Queensland Annual Awards. After an exceptional year of House and Land Sales, Jackson took out fourth place for the Number of Sales made within the State!

We extend a big congratulations to both Jackson and fellow high achiever’s throughout the evening, and look forward to celebrating further successes in the year to come.

Within this Edition we will provide information on the following:

– Auction Results – 21st September
– Festival Of The Beaches – The Wrap-Up
– Ray White Queensland Annual Awards 2021
– Cairns Rated Australia’s Top Travel Destination
– New School Takes Shape In Smithfield
– How To Prepare Your Property For Rent

Auction Results – 21st September

The week at Ray White Cairns Beaches and Ray White Smithfield commenced with the On-site Auction of 23/24-26 Springfield Crescent, Manoora. The affordable, two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment was declared passed in and is therefore on the market and available for sale.

Located on a quiet street and an easy 10-minute drive from Cairns CBD as well as Cairns Airport, this conveniently located apartment is close to so many amenities.

This is the perfect opportunity for any investor, FIFO worker, or First Home Buyer. The low body corporate fees of $4,146 mean that investors can expect very healthy returns, and first homeowners won’t need to break the bank to secure their entry into this buoyant property market.

Contact Jake Riley on 0410 660 152 or Paul Stirling on 0418 774 353 for further information or to arrange an inspection.
As lockdowns continue to sweep the country and the ever-present increase in Southern migration, we understand that it is not always possible to attend our auctions in person.
Our Live Auction Bidding and Streaming was in full force, allowing for participants anywhere in Australia to view, register, and of course, bid in auctions as they took place.

Festival Of The Beaches – The Wrap-Up

Did you attend the inaugural community Festival of the Beaches event?
Did you see our decorated Ray White marquee on the day?

Ray White Cairns Beaches and Ray White Smithfield were immensely proud to be major sponsors of last Friday’s inaugural community event.

The evening was a great success with people of all ages coming to enjoy the array of food, music, arts and entertainment that were on offer. Our team thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone who came along, visited our marquee and participated in our ‘Guess The Property Value’ competition.

The competition required applicants to guess a local property’s value as it increased over the years. The lucky first prize competition winners were announced on Monday and took the top prize of the 64GB iPad Mini.

We thank everyone who got involved and entered our ‘Guess The Property Value’ competition and hope you all enjoyed the inaugural Festival of the Beac

Cairns Rated Australia’s Top Travel Destination

As Cairns residents, we are lucky enough to wake up every day and bask in the beauty that is Tropical North Queensland. For the rest of Australia, however, enjoying this slice of paradise requires slightly more planning and coordination to visit our sandy shores and hinterland hideaways.
Comparison website Canstar Blue announced that Cairns has ranked as Australia’s Number 1 Domestic Travel Destination in 2021! Over 2000 surveys were conducted with participants ranking their degree of overall satisfaction, people and culture, value for money, accommodation, ease of getting around, food options and variety of things to do!
It’s not hard to see why Cairns has taken out the top spot, and after a restriction-ravaged 18-months, it is a healthy realisation for the local Tourism Industry that Far North Queensland is at the forefront of travellers minds.

Ray White Queensland Annual Awards 2021

Ray White Queensland recognised and awarded the top performers within the Ray White Group at the annual gala event held in Brisbane last Thursday. More than 1200 members from around Queensland gathered at the Royal International Convention Centre to celebrate the individual and team achievements made over the 2020/2021 Financial Year.
Jackson James, our specialist in land sales, was in the running and collected the award for Number 4 in Queensland for Number of Sales in the State!
It is a tremendous achievement and our team at Ray White Cairns Beaches and Ray White Smithfield are immensely proud of Jackson’s result.

New School Takes Shape In Smithfield

Construction continues, as the soon-to-be-completed Newman Catholic College in Smithfield makes significant bounds in the construction phase of the development. The largest building structure of the secondary College now has a completed roof, allowing for the remaining internal building to begin.
Located alongside James Cook University, the co-educational Catholic college is on schedule to open its doors to students by January 2022. The college has reported they have already reached a maximum capacity of 135 students to commence in the new year, with an ever-growing waitlist.
For those residing or investing in Smithfield and surrounding suburbs within the school’s catchment, this is considered an excellent feature for neighbouring properties for years to come. If you would like an updated, complimentary appraisal of your property, do not hesitate to contact our team on .
