Fortnightly Update – (22/04/2021) – Ray White Cairns Beaches

By Ben - MahiWeb
Paul Stirling once again, introducing this fortnight’s newsletter. I am currently away on a short leave break and I have asked team members to all contribute to this newsletter content. I do note a couple of points – Firstly, after the deluge of over a half a metre of rain thus far, Cairns will be doing an amount of mopping up. However, flooding has been limited which is testament to the drainage systems, that has no doubt limited flooding in the entire region.
Secondly, the Rental and Sales demand for property continues with strength and is expected to maintain this consistency for a long period.

Cairns Vacancy & Demand For Property

Trying to secure a rental property in the Cairns CBD and surrounding areas has never been more difficult, with property in critical supply and vacancy factors in the region dropping to 1.1% in March, down from 1.2% in December, according to the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) REIQ Market Monitor Cairns – Click here.
Ray White Cairns Beaches and Smithfield are not immune to this property stock shortage with just 10 properties for rent in cairns available to the market. Although the market continues to remain tight and rents continue to rise, properties must be maintained in order to achieve the top market value and best quality tenants for your investment. If you are looking to increase your investment portfolio, Cairns is providing excellent return on investment with demand at its peak.

ANZAC Day

Trinity Beach will once again host an ANZAC dawn service to remember the brave service men and women of Australia and New Zealand. We urge all members of the community to attend and pass on these valued traditions to the younger generations.
5:30am – Parade assembles adjacent to the memorial on the waterfront
5:45am – Catafalque Party takes post followed by service and wreath laying
Note – Road closures will be applied from 5am to 8am – Vasey Esplanade from Trinity Beach Road to Possum Street.
For those not able to attend, the RSL is again promoting Light Up The Dawn, find out more here.

Slippery When Wet!

Heavy rain has blanketed our tropical paradise over the last few days and is predicted to continue over the next week or so. While this is good news for our plethora of botanic wonders, it’s danger on our busy roads so please drive carefully, if its flooded, forget it!
